One can visit the Mukteshwar Temple which is approximately 12km away from Joie de Vivre. Chauli ki Jali - A sheer cliff right next to the temple.
Take in the panoramic 180-degrees Himalayan Views (on a clear day) from Corbett Bungalow right at road end of Mukteshwar. You can enjoy some snacks here, catered by KMVN.
Go on a jungle drive from Mukteshwar to Sitla.
Indulge in local fare at restaurant and cafés on Sargakhet road enroute Mukteshwar from Bhatelia Market. A few places are worth a visit for lunch or dinner.
The Bhatelia Market (approx 6km away) is the local melting pot. You can find daily needs shops here including a liquor vend. A little beyond (100m) towards Bhatelia - Ramgarh Road you can find an urbanised self serve retail establishment for your daily needs.
If you wish to do more temple visit, the Jageshwar Temples can be done in day. This ancient Temple Complex of over 100 temples dates back between 7th and 12th Century near Almora. You can also visit Jageshwar Archeological Museum next door to the Temple Complex.
Visit Nainital if you are feeling city sick ;). Naukuchiatal, Sat Tal and Bhimtal are all drivable distances for a day’s trip.
You can spend a few hours at the Bhalu Gaad waterfalls on the Dhari - Mukteshwar link road. Closeby...A view of another waterfall (as pointed in previous page) is right across Joie de Vivre, on the opposite hill to which you can walk down.
Go on a walk, trek the villages in the vicinity and soak in some Sun.
